About Joy Hau'oli

Joy Hauʻoli is a Hawaiʻi-based artist born and raised on the island of Oʻahu, where her deep connection to the ʻāina, ocean, and wildlife continues to inspire her creative journey. With a lifelong love for animals and the natural world, her work reflects a sense of harmony, reverence, and emotional connection that resonates across cultures.

Blending digital and traditional influences, Joy creates artwork that captures both the beauty and spirit of her subjects—often highlighting native wildlife, symbolic elements, and the quiet strength found in nature. Her artistic voice is shaped by a rich, multicultural background and a genuine appreciation for the diversity and unity that define island life.

Joy has also had the privilege of learning from and working alongside Patrick Ching, whose guidance and mentorship have further enriched her approach to wildlife art and storytelling.

Through each piece, Joy invites viewers into a space of stillness, reflection, and connection—where art becomes more than visual expression, but a shared experience rooted in meaning and intention.

Her work has been featured in community exhibitions, including the Manu o Kū exhibitions at Capitol Modern (Hawaiʻi State Art Museum), and continues to be shared in collaboration with cultural and conservation-focused initiatives.

Created with Love & Aloha.
